What do we mean when we say renewable?

The definition of renewable is capable of being replaced by natural ecological cycles or sound management practices of renewable resources. The renewable energy is energy from sources that are naturally replenishing.

Some examples of renewable energy sources are solar energy, wind energy, hydropower, geothermal energy, and biomass energy.

Nowadays most of the energy generated in the world is by conventional methods. When we cannot reuse a source of energy after using it once we call them “conventional sources of energy” or “non-renewable energy resources”. They are the most important conventional sources of energy. These include coal, petroleum, natural gas and nuclear energy.

World generation of renewable and non-renewable energy

This graphic shows us the approved distribution of energy generation in the world. We can see that around 85% of the energy is generated by conventional methods. This is because sometimes it is cheaper or easier to generate energy in this way.

These methods of energy generation are polluting for the environment, so the objective for the near future is to reduce the use of these methods in order to increase and promote the use of renewable resources for energy generation.

Here is where Greeneum makes the change. Everybody has to put a little effort in so we all try to achieve a more sustainable future. Greenum is a decentralized green energy platform that rewards you for supporting an eco-friendly future. The platform created a green token to compensate all those companies that generate renewable energy.

We believe that all companies seek to secure their financial position, therefore in this way they are helping the environment while ensuring themselves financially.

If you are a company that generates renewable energy, or even if you are an entrepreneur and have a small clean energy generation project, you can join our page. click the following link and register
